3day - Cape Otway, Great Ocean Road
In less than 2 hours departing Melbourne, you will be with your group on a bus driving along the Great Ocean Road looking out your window at the beautiful Southern coastline of Victoria sparking up conversation with other students.

You will arrive in Lorne for lunch, taking in the scenery before getting up close and personal with native wildlife such as koala's, kangaroos, wallaby's and birdlife. Arriving in Apollo bay, surfing lessons will begin. You will meet the locals and learn about the conservation of the local wildlife and beaches before undertaking a community service activity where marine debris will be removed from the beach and logged on an international register - giving something back to the local community.

You'll spend the night in Apollo Bay and have delicious local food before heading out to explore more of the local beaches as the sun goes down. A welcome ceremony with the Gadabanud Aboriginal representatives will take place the next day, before arriving at the Cape Otway Lighthouse for a guided or self-guided tour

Enjoy coastal clifftop scenic walks, surfing lessons where you will stand up, bush-walking through Aussie bush-lands with lots of wildlife, camping, bush-tucker tasting, aboriginal cultural activities, outdoor group cooking, open campfires, community and conservation activities and much more...

Itinerary
A brief outline of the program
Day 1
Depart Melbourne from Southern Cross Train Station for the the Great Ocean Road stopping at coast towns such as Lorne, Kennet River and Apollo Bay. You will get up close and personal with local Australian wildlife and be met by friendly locals to learn about the area and lifestyle. You'll have the amazing opportunity to participate in an adventure activity surfing! If you do not want to surf, try boogie boarding instead. Visit the small township of Apollo bay and try local food before staying in an ocean-side accommodation venue. Share meals with friendly locals and sit around a campfire chatting with your new friends.
Day 2
Watch the sunrise the Apollo Bay hilltops before enjoying an Aussie BBQ breakfast. Get ready for a beach walk and local marine conservation activity with the locals, and Tangaroa Blue marine debris program activity, giving back to the environment through climate action. Enjoy some fun beach games such as cricket as well as other team building activities. Travel to the Cape Otway National Park and meet with local Aboriginal cultural officers to learn about the land and traditions. Access the Cape Otway Lightstation and self guide your way around the precinct before having lunch. Get ready for your overnight camp out experience where you will prepare an outdoor meal on a BBQ with your new friends and enjoy sitting around the campfire sharing stories of the day.
Day 3
Watch the sunrise and go on a Koala spotting walk before we continue our way along the Great Ocean Road arriving at the 12 Apostles for a beach activity at Loch Ard Gorge. You will have lunch in Port Cambell trying Australian style fish and chips on the beach. Your group will reflect on the trip before nmaking your way back to Melbourne arriving just before dinner time.
